Kathmandu: Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Devraj Ghimire, announced that the bills currently under consideration will progress during the ongoing budget session. Speaking at a photo exhibition titled "Outcomes of the Republic: Infrastructure for Prosperity," organized by the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) on the occasion of Republic Day 2081, Speaker Ghimire emphasized that legislative activities will not be confined to budget enactment alone.

"The budget session is underway, and the bills under consideration must also move forward during this session. I sense that parliamentarians are gradually appreciating the importance of this process," he remarked.

He highlighted the government's proactive approach in introducing and processing bills, noting that significant progress has been made in parliamentary committees. "Today itself, the bill concerning the roles, responsibilities, and authorities of the constitutional council has been endorsed. This bill will be advanced in parliament amidst the budget session," Speaker Ghimire added.

Reflecting on the country's progress since the establishment of the federal republic, Speaker Ghimire stated that development activities have accelerated. He expressed his admiration for the photo exhibition, which showcased ongoing infrastructural developments across Nepal. "Despite numerous challenges, Nepal is making significant strides in infrastructural development," he asserted.

Additionally, Speaker Ghimire commended the RSS for its vital role in Nepal's news media. He praised the organization for producing factual news, informing the public, and bridging the gap between citizens and the government.
